Dance is a passion. A creative freedom that builds co-ordination and a self confidence that helps in so many ways through life. My dancing venture started from age 4 learning Ballet, Tap and Modern through my childhood and adolescence taking exams through the I.S.T.D examining board. Into adulthood I began exploring Ballroom and Latin dance styles finding a true love of dance competing in Blackpool at the Tower ballroom and Winter Gardens. A magical experience unlike any other! Teaching has brought a whole new side to my dancing. Every group and class I teach brings such pleasure, seeing the growth of my students not only in their dancing but their self confidence is amazing.
I have furthered my learning with many workshops in lots of dance styles from Street and hip hop dance to Bollywood and Lindy Hop. Building my knowledge of choreography I have now produced many of my own dance shows. Having 140 of my own students performing 22 dance pieces I choreographed, taught, designed and dreamed about is a personal achievement I hold dear. Every step forward I try to achieve bigger and better, pushing my own boundaries and striving for my students to achieve more themselves. Our LF Dance family is about working together to enable all to enjoy learning, creating and developing through dance. Dance is a passion….something I simply can’t live without!
We hold classes in many dance styles from Tap to Ballet to Street to Ballroom & Latin for all ages and abilities. We are hear to bring the enjoyment of dance and celebrate the magic it can bring. A great fun and friendly atmosphere to enrich and build confidence in dance and socially find a place where you can be yourself and fit in no matter what.
